A plain-language guide · Ask your health plan
Give your plan a specific question.

If a service says it accepts insurance, ask what that statement covers. A question about a visit and a question about a product need separate answers.
Start with the visit you want
Ask your health plan about an assessment for the concern you want help with. Give it the clinician or service name and the kind of visit you are considering.
Ask whether the person is in your plan’s network, what you would pay, and whether a referral or permission is needed before the visit. Ask the service for any billing details the plan needs to answer.
Keep the plan’s answer beside the service’s quote. If the descriptions do not match, ask each side to clarify the same named service.
Ask again about each proposed item
Selank had no approved US product or official US label in the records checked September 30, 2026.
There was no US maker’s list price or government Selank price to report from that check.
This does not give an answer about what your plan will pay. Ask about the exact item being proposed, rather than asking whether it covers “peptide therapy” as a broad phrase.
If tests are proposed, ask about those by name too. Ask who would bill for them and what details the plan needs to check payment.
Keep an answer you can return to
Request a written answer, or save the reference your plan gives you for that conversation. Note what it covers, what it excludes, and what remains undecided.
If you would be paying yourself, ask for the full written quote before agreeing to charges.
